Unlike buying Photoshop or buying Illustrator, what you do with Creative Cloud is to buy a complete package. It is defined from its official website as a package with which “whatever you want to create, we have what you need to make it incredible”. A series of programs that are used for all kinds of designs, touch-ups and resources for graphic design, video editing, photography, social networks…
What is Creative Cloud
Creative Cloud is an Adobe subscription that gives us access to applications and programs to make all kinds of creations at a personal level or at a company level. We can edit photography and video, create templates for social networks, design with Illustrator, edit documents with Acrobat DC or even access image libraries such as Adobe Stock
The subscription allows us to activate twenty Creative Cloud apps on desktop, mobile, and the web. In addition, we can activate it in two different devices at the same time although we cannot have the same application in use in one and in the other, so it is not recommended to share it with another person if you are both going to use the same program at the same time.
What advantages does it have compared to buying one or two? As they explain from their own website, we can save if we are going to use several Adobe tools. “Adobe Creative Cloud All Apps Plan has over 20 creative apps, including Photoshop, to grow your creative skill set. If you’re considering buying more than two apps, the savings on the Creative Cloud All Apps plan add up quickly, too. It is the easiest way to get your favorite creative applications in a single subscription and at a great price”, they explain from Adobe.
All apps included
Creative Cloud includes a large number of applications and programs that we can use for almost everything. The plan includes all the creative applications that we may need to design, to retouch, to assemble audio and video…
The applications can be divided according to their uses and are the following:
If we want to retouch photography we can have Photoshop to edit or compose images but also Photoshop Camera, Adobe Lightroom for image editing and Photoshop Express that allows us to edit video.
If what you want is tools graphic design we can access a large number of them such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Photoshop Express, InDesign, Dimension, Acrobat Pro DC, Adobe Express to create with templates or InCopy designed for writers and editors. In addition, Adobe Fresco, Adobe Fonts or Adobe Stock that allows you to download high-quality images, graphics or videos.
If you want to edit video, the package includes the popular Adobe Premier pro for create professional quality videos such as documentaries or short films… But also Adobe Premiere Rush to create videos for social networks or After Effects to achieve video editing with cinematic visual effects or animated graphics.
If you want to illustrate, Adobe Illustrator is included in Adobe Creative Cloud along with other tools already mentioned like Photoshop or Adobe Fresco.
We can design mockups and prototypes for mobile applications with Adobe XD and we can use the aforementioned Photoshop and Illustrator to create professional graphics and illustrations through the computer or from your iPad tablet.
If we want to create content for social networks, the three most recommended applications that we can have are Premiere Rush, Adobe Express and Photoshop Camera that allows us to retouch images from mobile devices without difficulty.
But you decide which applications are downloaded or when to download each one. We do not necessarily have to have all twenty Creative Cloud applications on our computer or on all devices. if we don’t want to use them all or have them all installed. You choose what and where. We simply go to the Creative Cloud page, log in with our data and download the one we want.
In addition, applications are available andn its version for mobile applications, but also for desktop or we can use it from the Adobe website itself. We simply log in and download them, but always keeping in mind that we cannot use the same application on two devices simultaneously, but rather we must take turns, as we have explained in previous paragraphs.
Price and plans
Adobe Creative Cloud with all the applications has several payment options and we can choose to pay per month or pay per year. We cannot pay for a single license to use it forever but, at most, it will expire after twelve months. As we have explained in previous paragraphs, it will always be a better price to bet on the Adobe Creative Cloud package than to buy two or three programs or applications independently.
We can choose a monthly plan that has a price of 94.50 euros per month with VAT included or an annual plan that we will pay monthly but with a twelve-month permanence, which has a price of 62.99 euros per month with VAT included. Or we can hire an annual plan that we will pay in a single installment, a prepaid annual plan that has a price of 725.85 euros per year in a single payment.
All options allow us to test them for a number of days concrete without having to pay. For seven days we can have all the Creative Cloud applications at no cost or we are even allowed to try Adobe Stock 30 days for free, a month of trial without commitment with the purchase of Creative Cloud.
In addition, there are special prices for students or teachers. We can get Adobe Creative Cloud for students or teachers from 19.66 euros per month compared to more than sixty euros for the usual package. We simply must have an email address issued by a center and you must be enrolled in university schools, primary or secondary schools, etc. We can provide data to prove it and get it for 335 euros per year compared to the 725 euros that the annual single price has in the case of private users.
