New changes in the Movistar Plus+ channel grid. The blue operator made a considerable change within its dials a few weeks ago to order them in a clearer way for consumers. Not only are those changes that we have been able to attend, because in fact a few days ago some channels disappeared from the grid almost without prior notice. Today one of these has returned, and another that was already in the testing phase has gone on to broadcast in high definition.
These dial movements are quite common within Movistar Plus+, which is always seeking to offer its customers the best possible channel offer. In fact, the channel that goes to HD has been in the testing phase for a few days, and is finally being incorporated into the platform’s channels in the normal way.
Canal 24 Horas goes to high definition
The channel that is finally broadcasting in HD on the platform is Channel 24 Hours of Spanish Television. This new channel will be located in grill dial 127, and obviously we can finally see it in high definition. We finally say why this channel had already been broadcasting for some time on other platforms with this quality, such as Vodafone TV.
This channel is the reserved space that RTVE has contained as news, debates and all kinds of live broadcasts. The channel was launched on September 15, 1997, and has been broadcasting continuously ever since.
Canal 24 Horas hasn’t been broadcasting free-to-air on DTT in high definition for so long. Actually, he was doing it in SD until February of last year 2021moment in which it began its journey in high definition (although at first it did so with rescaling from SD).
A defunct sports channel is back
Turning now to the missing channels, it’s time to switch to the Movistar Plus+ sports area. All these defunct sports channels were made for a pretty big compelling reason, and it is that in summer there is less sport to broadcast. Most sports competitions give their participants rest during these months so that they return with their batteries charged, and since there was nothing to broadcast, it was logical that some channels would disappear.
Most of the channels that disappeared are directly related to football, especially the league. All the M+ LaLiga channels disappeared from number 2 to number 10. In addition, some M+ Champions League channels also disappeared, another competition that has also ended and will no longer be broadcast for a few months. Although most of the missing channels were in those two groups, there were two more of which one has returned. We are talking about the channel M+ Sports 7located on dial 195 that returns as if it had not left, also leaving M+ LaLiga 1 UHD, located on dial 443, as missing.
