Amazon’s wireless doorbell arrives in Spain and allows see in real time on video who is knocking at the door. The Blink Video Doorbell is a very simple device to install that allows you to connect to existing wiring but does not need to be connected to the mains as it runs on batteries.
Amazon continues little by little to expand its catalog of home automation products in Spain and the latest to arrive is this Blink Video Doorbell, which can be purchased at a official price of 59.99 euros.
Two-year autonomy and 1080p video
The Blink Video Doorbell doesn’t need wires. Runs on two AA lithium batteries and, as Amazon explains, when wired or paired with a Blink Sync Module 2, it can last up to two years. Although the actual autonomy may depend on several factors.
With this device we can receive notifications and movement alerts in the Blink application and it can also be synchronized with the doorbell at home. With the Blink Video Doorbell, users can be alerted when someone is at the door and view in real time in 1080p video, including at night since it has infrared vision.
Also included two-way audio to be able to answer the doorbell through this device. Users will be able to record, save and share recordings in the cloud, though a Blink subscription will be required. Amazon offers a free trial month, at a cost of 3 euros per month for one device or 10 euros per month for an unlimited number.
Another option is to store the videos in the memory of the device, using a Blink Sync Module 2 or incorporating an external USB memory.
