Next June 28, ‘Blasted’ arrives on Netflix, a science-fiction comedy in which a couple of old friends whose lives have gone their separate ways get together for one of them’s bachelor party. When an alien invasion breaks out, they will have to go back to the days when they were a deadly couple in the world of paintball and regain the rapport that made them famous.
This Norwegian production is based on curious real events that take place in Norway. Since the thirties there have been waves of UFO sightings on an annual basis, in a phenomenon that experts do not know whether to describe as something similar to mass hysteria, but whose ingredients that are repeated have inspired the film.
‘Blasted’ comes with the label of producer Are Heidenstrom, who was also the producer of the popular ‘La ola’ in 2015. The combination seems to be a true festival of gore overflowing with color, humor and twinning. thanks to the massacre of invading civilizations, in what Netflix has defined as a mixture of ‘Fatal Weapon’ and ‘The Hangover’.
