Double driver and noise cancellation up to 43 dB
The two headphones come with active noise cancellation, offering the Redmi Buds 4 to cancel outside noises up to 35 dB, while the Pro model reaches 43 dB. On an aesthetic level, the two are very similar and have touch controls and a design with splash resistance and IP54 certification.
The main difference is perhaps in the diaphragm unit. The Redmi Buds 4 are TWS with a more traditional system and a 10-millimeter driver. The Pro model opts for a more modern system, with dual drive: one 10mm and one secondary 6mm. According to Xiaomi, this allows it to be able to offer Hi-Fi surround sound.
At the level of connectivity, the Pro model also stands out for offering the new connectivity Bluetooth 5.3, while the little brother stays on Bluetooth 5.2. The Pro model includes a low latency mode that would stay at 56 milliseconds.
In terms of battery, the Redmi Buds 4 promise about 6 hours, while the Pro theoretically reach 9 hours, being a more than remarkable figure for headphones of this style. In case of taking advantage of the charging case, via USB-C, we will obtain up to 30 and 36 hours respectively.
Versions and price of the Redmi Buds 4 and 4 Pro
The new Xiaomi Redmi Buds 4 and 4 Pro are now available to buy in China, although it has not yet been announced when we will see their international version. The official price of the Redmi Buds 4 is 229 yuan, about 32 euros to change. For the Redmi Buds 4 Pro we have a price of 399 yuan, about 55 euros to change.
