One of the great problems that amateur photographers have is that they cannot convey, with their shots, the sensations that the landscape they are seeing gives them. And it is not easy to do it. But with the advice that we are going to comment on here, landscape photography will be a little more fun:
Correctly focus a landscape
There are many doubts about this topic. Is it important that everything is in focus? It really isn’t, but if we’re just starting out, it’s always good that everything is in focus from the foreground to the background.

All active points
If we have experience with Adobe Photoshop, I always recommend forget about hyperfocal distance and bet on it image stacking. But we are here to give simple advice. We have to rely on our camera’s focus system and allow it, in a wide shot, to always choose where to focus with all active points.

As in most cases we will use a wide angle lens and a closed diaphragm (f5.6-8), the camera will nail the focus and the image will look reasonably sharp in all its planes when we look at it on the screen of our mobile, even in the computer.
play with colors
In this case we forget the black and white (which many people consider boring and old-fashioned) and we start looking for colors in nature to find harmonies, which is nothing more than understanding the relationship between them.

When you look at landscape photos online, most of them only have the blue of the sky and the green of the meadows. The trick is to learn color combinations that look good or carry one in your backpack color wheel to find the harmonies quickly.

The importance of well-harmonized color
If you put a red, a warm tone, in the green and blue landscape that I mentioned at the beginning, your photograph will win many points instantly. And blue and green don’t go well together, better try blue with yellow, red with green…
Try unusual perspectives.
When it comes to taking landscape photographs, many photographers repeat the same point of view. Standing, looking straight ahead. At best, by biting the camera a bit… Everything changes if we start to look at it in a different way. And the best ally in these cases is to carry a tripod.

From below the redwoods seem more impressive
The tripod is the best ally for landscape photographers. We must carry one that supports the weight and volume of our camera. And of course, a remote shutter release, or activate the self-timer or the brand’s application on the mobile, to shoot without touching the camera. It doesn’t make sense to do it any other way.

A tripod is always a good companion
With it we can look for more original frames. If we lower the camera -and with the tripod we can- we will show the landscape in a more original and impressive way. From a child’s point of view, everything seems much larger and more majestic.

Measure the light well
Many times we take the photo with the light we have, not the one we would like. And the photos do not attract attention. One of the most important differences between a good image and a bad one is the light, having time to capture the best light.
The most important thing is to measure the light well. If we control the exposure triangle, we will be able to reflect exactly what we want. Getting the sample photo is easy. The hardest thing is waiting for the sun to be at that point. But now comes the technique to take advantage of that light.

The histogram is the key
The key is knowing how to read the histogram of our camera well. If the native camera of your mobile does not have it, I recommend that you download ProCamera for iOS or Camera ZOOM FX Premium for Android. If he histogram touch the far right, the lights will have detail.

If you are with a mobile, you will only have to lower or raise the shutter time to get a darker or lighter photo. If you work with a mirrorless, you can always go to exposure compensation to achieve a good result.

Practical ideas for improvement
Having a camera or another depends on the technical needs we have. The final destination is what matters. If we are only going to publish on the networks, a good mobile phone is perfect. If we want to make big enlargements, change lenses and have a lot of information to polish it on the computer, you need a camera with a larger sensor.

a very big site
If we do not have a professional obligation, it is best to go accompanied and kill two birds with one stone: the day will be more enjoyable (really) and on the other you will have a perfect model to give a perfect measure to the space in which you are. The viewer will know if those mountains that can be seen in the background are immense or if it is the hill of your town.

The human being as the measure of all things
Finally, landscape photography does not have to be perfect. We can try a thousand things simply because we feel like it. Maybe it’s fun to heed the advice of the networks and look for puddles to turn the camera and get the perfect reflection; or pose as the influencers say that you have to do it in the middle of the field; or burn the photo…

Well, it’s not bad
In the end, in landscape photography we have two ways, follow the trends of the moment or forget about everything, enjoy and see if everyone starts to like the new style and they decide that you are the inspiration. What do you do to brighten up your landscape photographs?
