Tesla’s pilot program to open its superchargers to users of third-party brands arrives in Spain. After its first tests in Norway, Holland and France, our country is among those chosen to implement this pilot program.
Distributed by 13 stations throughout the national territory and with 116 superchargers available, Spanish drivers of electric cars will have these Tesla spaces to recharge their vehicles. In addition to Spain, Belgium, Sweden, Austria and the United Kingdom will also open posts for recharges from non-Tesla owners.
How Tesla superchargers can be used
Those who want to take advantage of these new charging points will have 13 stations available with 116 chargers and will be able to choose two ways of payment:
- Subscription to the Tesla service: 12.99 euros/month and a payment of 0.43 euros/kW. The same price paid by Tesla users.
- Without subscription: Tesla announces a price of 0.64 euros/kW on average for all recharges, although this varies depending on the place and time of charging.
In order to access these sockets, owners of an electric car need to lower the Tesla application (Android | iOS) for the mobile phone and act much like they would with other carriers. That is, locating the charging point to use in the application and activating it.
This way of proceeding is usually the usual one for most drivers, but Tesla owners have the advantage of “plug and play”, because, when the vehicle is plugged in, the charging point automatically detects the user who is using it and invoice the total of the account without you having to take any more steps.
It should also be remembered that it will be necessary to have a vehicle compatible with a CCS charger. Cars using the CHAdeMO standard will not be able to benefit from these new charging points.
The 13 stations that will be available
Regarding the list of stations with superchargers that will be available to any user with a compatible vehicle, the locations are the following:

Tesla assures that with this step it becomes the most extensive fast charging network in our country, understanding this as the one that has the most posts with recharges equal to or greater than 150 kW available.
