The next Marvel series for Disney+ already has a trailer, and this is one of those that (like ‘Moon Knight’) introduces a new character for the MCU, although this time, and unlike what happened with the series starring Oscar Isaac , from this first trailer it already presents strong relationships with characters already established in the movies. It’s about ‘She-Hulk’ (or Hulka, as we knew her in Spain for years), and it will premiere on Disney + on August 17.
That is, before we see it we have another Marvel movie, ‘Thor: Love & Thunder’ on July 8. In any case, in ‘She-Hulk: Defender of Heroes’ the usual tone of the character’s comics is adapted, light and demystifying, which comes from the already distant times of the legendary stage of John Byrne in the mid-eighties. Although possibly the series is closer to the stage of the early two thousand scripted by Dan Slott and that focused on her career as a lawyer for Jennifer Walters.
Walters She is the cousin of Bruce Banner, better known as the Hulk, and with him she shares the ability to turn green, giant and enraged when it is threatened. She always retains, however, her authentic personality whether in emerald mode or not, and in fact, she has no interest in joining the Avengers or any of those other whims, but continuing her career as a lawyer. Thanks to this, she will be immersed in cases related to the impact of superpowered people in the real world.
With Tatiana Maslany giving life to the heroine, we see in the trailer the return of old acquaintances from the MCU such as, of course, Mark Ruffalo giving life to the Hulk and starting what will be the passing of the torch of the heroes affected by gamma rays. We also see Tim Roth giving life to Abomination, Hulk’s eternal nemesis whom we already saw in the character’s semi-forgotten movie from 2008. And as an additional link to the MCU, Benedict Wong as Wong, since both he and Abomination left each other fall for ‘Shang-Chi’ and already in it some scenario was glimpsed that we now see return in this trailer. Everything is thought.
